TV Mystery Product, not to be confused with the regular game Mystery Product, is a game played using the television monitors scattered throughout the market. Found in the "Big Sweep", David will "Activate the TV Monitors!", enabling the game to begin.

The TV Mystery Product, the Brach's Candy Corner, the International Bread Center, the Magazine Display, the Recycle Machine, the Instant Coupon Machines and the Cake Decorating bonuses all made their debut in 1993.

There were three television monitors located in the market, each possessing a clue leading to a hidden mystery product. The locations always stayed constant, although in 2001 the number of monitors was reduced to two to make the game simpler. Originally a slow-acting touchscreen monitor (which was fairly new technology at the time), a push button was later added to the bottom in order to make the activation simpler. Contestants could receive their clues by pushing the monitors' buttons, which also activate red lights surrounding the buttons, signifying the monitors were properly working. Throughout the sweep, David would say "Activate the TV monitors" over the loudspeaker, which informed the contestants that the game was ready to play.

By changing the number of monitors from 3 to 2, new money makers using the TV monitors were able to be played.

  • Splitting the Name - half of a product's name appear on each of the two monitors.
  • The $300 Movie - two clues were provided leading to a movie hidden in the store's video section.
